PagerDuty, Inc. (NYSE:PD) is a global leader in digital operations management. Half of the Fortune 500 and nearly 70% of the Fortune 100 trust PagerDuty as essential infrastructure.

Join us. At PagerDuty, you'll tackle complex problems, collaborate with kind and ambitious people, and help build a more equitable world—all in a flexible, award-winning workplace.

PagerDuty is seeking a Director of Product Intelligence & Insights to build and lead a world-class product analytics function. This is a unique opportunity to shape how the leading digital operations management platform measures product performance, uncovers customer behavior trends, and drives data-informed decisions at scale.

As a senior leader in our Product Strategy & Growth organization, you’ll define how we track, measure, and interpret what matters across our product portfolio—from self-service growth to enterprise adoption and everything in between. Your team will surface insights that power monetization, roadmap prioritization, and experience optimization across the entire customer journey.

In addition to leading internal analytics strategy, this role will own and product manage our customer-facing analytics experience. You'll bridge internal understanding of product usage with how customers see and realize value from their own usage: ensuring the message is clear: the more they use PagerDuty, the better their business performs. This is a critical function to align how we talk about value with how we deliver it, both internally and externally.

You’ll partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Growth, GTM, and Finance leaders to ensure we’re instrumented for learning and operating with clarity. This role is equal parts builder and strategist: setting vision, rolling up your sleeves to design frameworks, and scaling a team that brings data to life across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Product Intelligence & Insights function at PagerDuty, responsible for measuring and communicating product performance across all lines of business.
  • Define core metrics, instrumentation standards, and analytic frameworks that enable our product and business teams to operate with confidence.
  • Lead Product Management for the external-facing customer analytics experience, aligning internal telemetry with externally communicated value.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to ensure product telemetry is accurate, comprehensive, and actionable.
  • Uncover friction points, engagement gaps, and expansion opportunities through user behavior and lifecycle analysis.
  • Drive strategy on how we evaluate success of feature adoption, trial conversion, monetization experiments, and pricing outcomes.
  • Develop self-serve dashboards and deliver executive-level insight narratives that inform roadmap, GTM, and strategic-investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data, GTM, Finance) to integrate product data with broader customer, financial, and market signals.
  • Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product analysts and product managers.
  • Evangelize a culture of insight, experimentation, and product learning across the company.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product analytics, growth strategy, or product insights roles in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-impact product analytics or product intelligence teams.
  • Deep product intuition with a strong understanding of user behavior, growth funnels, and feature adoption patterns.
  • Skilled in applying product analytics to drive decisions across self-service, PLG, enterprise, and monetization use cases.
  • Experience owning or contributing to external-facing customer reporting, dashboards, or value articulation tools.
  • Proficient in modern product analytics tools (e.g., Periscope, Snowflake, Tableau).
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. You can simplify complexity and influence at all levels.
  • Experience partnering with senior product, design, and engineering stakeholders to shape strategy and execution.
