The Senior Technical Project Manager plays the critical role in setting PagerDuty’s customers for success by leading the execution of large and transformational projects at our most strategic and complex customers. This role will work alongside the Customer Success and Professional Services teams to understand customers’ business goals and objectives, and translate those goals into clearly defined technical implementation project plans. Further, this role manages the execution of the technical projects to implement the PagerDuty product with various customers by applying the full breadth of PagerDuty product knowledge. 

Job Responsibilities

This role will include the following job functions:

  • Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, ensuring projects are on time and within budget. 
  • Roadmapping and Strategy: Develop and maintain program roadmaps, project plans and strategies, ensuring alignment with customer objectives while controlling project scope and schedule
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge of PagerDuty product to understand project requirements, identify risks, and ensure technical feasibility. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with various teams, including customer success, sales, professional services, product, and other stakeholders, to drive alignment and achieve program goals. 
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, escalate and mitigate technical risks that could impact project success. 
  • Communication: Clearly communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. 
  • Problem Solving: Identify and collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues that arise during project execution. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. 
  • Coordination: Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams within a program to ensure a cohesive outcome. 
  • Reporting and Measurement: Track program progress, identify key metrics, and report on program effectiveness. 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience performing technical project management
  • Understanding of IT operations space (ITSM processes, incident management)
  • Highly developed soft skills, with the ability to adjust communication style based on the audience and difficult client situations.
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Collaborative and consultative work style, ability to thrive in a high velocity, highly dynamic work environment

The base salary range for this position is 96,000 - 132,000 CAD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
