Q: When do my benefit elections become effective?
A: Benefit elections are effective as of your hire date, should you enroll within 30 days of hire.
Q: How long do I have to enroll?
A: You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in benefits. Otherwise you will have to wait until the next Open Enrollment window or until you are eligible for a Special Enrollment window due to a qualifying life event.
Q: Who can I cover on my PagerDuty Benefits?
A: Eligible dependents include your legal spouse or domestic partner, disabled dependents, and eligible children under the age of 26 residing in your household.
This includes:
- Biological children
- Legally adopted children
- Stepchildren
- Child for whom you have been appointed legal guardian, and/or those for whom the court has issues a Qualified Medical Child Support Order (GMCSO) requiring you, your spouse, or domestic partner to provide coverage
