United States Benefits Introduction FAQ

Q: When do my benefit elections become effective? 

A: Benefit elections are effective as of your hire date, should you enroll within 30 days of hire.

Q: How long do I have to enroll?

A: You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in benefits. Otherwise you will have to wait until the next Open Enrollment window or until you are eligible for a Special Enrollment window due to a qualifying life event.

Q: Who can I cover on my PagerDuty Benefits?

A: Eligible dependents include your legal spouse or domestic partner, disabled dependents, and eligible children under the age of 26 residing in your household. 

This includes:

  • Biological children
  • Legally adopted children
  • Stepchildren
  • Child for whom you have been appointed legal guardian, and/or those for whom the court has issues a Qualified Medical Child Support Order (GMCSO) requiring you, your spouse, or domestic partner to provide coverage

Concierge Services Enrollment in the Aetna medical plans allows direct access to the concierge line where you will be connected with specific representatives that are dedicated to assisting you with your issue and answering you questions.
Mental Health Support Headspace Care provides individualized mental health support, including one-on-one behavioral health coaching, access to psychiatry services, and self-guided care options. Headspace Care also delivers confidential mental health resources through text-based chats and self-guided activities. PagerDuty recognizes the importance of offering these services to empower individuals on their mental health journey, including access to meditation and mindful resources.
Calm App Enrollment in any of the Kaiser plans (CA & GA only) provides free membership to the Calm App. The Calm app provides daily guided meditation covering topics on anxiety, stress, gratitude, and more.
